The story behind it
The blue flower was a symbol for the romantic poet Novalis, symbolizing the unity of reality and fantasy and the poet Josef von Eichendorff wrote about it: I‘m looking for the blue flower, looking for it and never find it, I dream that in the blue flower, my happiness is blossoming (quick and bad translation by me ;-)

What is porcelain?
Porcelain is a precious and delicate material that is totally different from clay: It is made from different materials, for example kaolin and petunse, and it was invented in China almost 2000 years ago, with the Chinese being the only ones to know how to make it for many centuries.
As opposed to clay, porcelain is white and translucent and it is, even if it seems more fragile than clay, harder, and more durable than clay.
